The film explores the journeys of several Catalan female climbers spanning five generations. From the pioneers who blazed trails in high-mountain terrain and on vertical rock faces to today’s top competitive climbers and alpinists, all found direction in their lives through climbing—from the 1940s to the present day. Among them is the pioneer Carme Romeu, the first woman to summit Cavall Bernat and to climb the north face of Vignemale and Monte Perdido. These women often realized their ambitions only after an arduous internal struggle, braving prejudices held by both society at large and the climbing community itself. The film invites us to discover the choices and paths taken by these Spanish mountain and climbing enthusiasts, illustrating how barriers and stereotypes have been overcome over the years through their collective commitment.
