Lawqa: “Lawqa” is a World Biosphere Reserve with an impressive biodiversity. Located in the Chilean “Altiplano” next to the border with Bolivia, it is being contaminated by abandoned mining tailings and destroyed by the rampant exploitation of the borax mining industry. The documentary reconstructs and reveals how this unique ecological reserve was transformed into a mining exploitation area, threatening ancestral territories belonging to all Chileans, but especially to the Aymara communities.
